Radamel Falcao is now the most prolific goalscorer in the history of the Colombia national team.

The 31-year-old striker scored in the 55th minute in an international friendly against Spain to give his side a 2-1 advantage. It was Falcao’s 26th goal for his country in 65 games and moved him into the sole spot at the top of Colombia’s goalscoring charts. It had been a long time coming for Falcao. His last goal for his country came on 6 June 2015, meaning he broke his international drought almost exactly two years to the day.

The striker may want to continue finding the goals for Colombia, however, if he wants to maintain the record for as long as Iguaran held it.
