Chelsea star Eden Hazard steps up recovery from broken ankle by training alone as team-mates enjoy Singapore

Hazard has stayed upbeat throughout his rehab, regularly updating fans with his progress                                                       Eden Hazard has taken a significant step in his recovery from injury after partaking in his first work with a football since suffering a broken ankle in June. Hazard has been forced to train alone at Chelsea's training HQ in Cobham while Antonio Conte's men enjoy the delights of China and Singapore as part of their pre-season tour of Asia.
But the Belgian would have been beaming from ear-to-ear after completing some basic drills as part of what is expected to be two more months of rehabilitation before he is ready to play first-team football again.

The Belgium international netted against Bayern Munich on Tuesday but his Spanish rival impressed during his half-hour cameo in Singapore

Rafinha Bayern Munich 2017                                               Antonio Conte's men only trailed by two goals by the time Chelsea's most expensive player finally entered the action, with Marcos Alonso having lifted the Blues' beleaguered spirits with a sweet strike just beforeChelsea were 3-0 down by the half-hour mark, with Thomas Muller netting a classy double after Rafinha had opened the scoring with bouncing drive from distance that Thibaut Courtois must still be wondering how he failed to reach. Morata did not inspire a turnaround but his arrival undeniably coincided with Chelsea's best spell in the match.Morata also challenged for the corner that dropped so invitingly for Michy Batshuayi to convert with just five minutes remaining but there was to be no dramatic last-gasp equaliser for £70 million man.

‘He was contacted for a long time. The club was closed, then we open because I always have this feeling of when a player has a desire to go I don’t like to stop players to go because in the end you don’t get what you expect from them if they want to move and they don’t.
