De Rossi is finally set to take Totti's Roma throne as Captain.                        Daniele De Rossi looks out to sea from the beachfront in Ostia, Rome, where he made his first footballing steps. A guarded smirk is on his face and with good reason.                  Image result for de rossi

Real Madrid legend originally had no plans to become a manager once his illustrious playing career ended                 Zinedine Zidane has followed up an amazing playing career with what has the makings of being an equally impressive run as a manager. His first season in charge of Real Madrid produced a UEFA Champions League title, and he is on the verge of a potential Champions League-La Liga double in his second year.
It is a level of managerial success that wasn't expected, at least not so quickly. Not even by Kaka, who knows him and Real Madrid well. Zidane's time away from the game lasted four years before then-manager Mourinho appointed him as special advisor to Real Madrid's first team, which allowed the Frenchman to transition back into the club. A stint as Real Madrid's sporting director soon followed, as did time as Carlo Ancelotti's assistant, as well as a run as the manager of the second team. He replaced fired Real Madrid boss Rafa Benitez midway through the 2015-16 season, guiding Los Blancos to the club's 11th Champions League title.                                                                       Kaka: Zidane's coaching success 'a big surprise for everybody'                                Zidane has been a rare exception of a superstar player making a smooth and successful transition into managing, which could serve as inspiration for other star players to follow a similar career track. Kaka isn't thinking about being a manager just yet, but his thoughts on the subject reveal that Zidane didn't have that career in mind either when he retired as a player in 2006.

The Blues  a season of glory in west London
Antonio Conte said upon his unveiling as Chelsea manager that he saw a "small flame flickering that can grow into a blazing inferno," but he admits that he is still not satisfied despite getting his hands on the Premier League trophy.
Chelsea will lift the title, regardless of the result, as they face Sunderland at Stamford Bridge in their final game of the season. This is very important. If you want to be a good season, you must have always this fire in your soul, in your heart, in your head. It's very important. I think that, about me, we have just started this.
“It's very difficult to answer this question because, now, I repeat, it's important to be focused on finishing the league. Then, together with the club, we have to take the best decision for next season.                                                          Image result for conte                                                     But we have to continue to work very hard, maybe stronger than this season, to try to repeat a good season. But when you have the winning mentality and you want to win every game... if there is someone that is happy to see his past, then he's not a winner. He's a loser.
"The past is good. The past is beautiful if you won in your past. You can see your past. But, in the present and the future, it's not important if you are a winner. If you are a loser then you always stay looking behind you and you won't win.
The third-choice goalkeeper for Man United,  Jose Mourinho and will make his first start against Crystal Palace on Sunday.                                   The 20-year-old has already tasted the first-team environment at Manchester United once before when replacing Sergio Romero for the final 10 minutes of January’s 4-0 FA Cup win over Wigan Athletic, but Sunday’s Premier League finale against Crystal Palace will mark his full debut at a time when the spotlight is on amidst rumours that De Gea could soon finalise a protracted move to Real Madrid.                                                                                                                                                                       Who is Joel Pereira? The best Portuguese goalkeeper of the next generation at Man Utd                                                           We have two fantastic goalkeepers, and we have a third goalkeeper that I think will be the best Portuguese goalkeeper of the next generation,” said Jose Mourinho earlier this month that David de Gea and Sergio Romero. On Sunday, Joel Pereira gets his chance to show just how good he can be. As United fans begin to wonder who might be their club’s long-term No.1, Pereira has seen his position at the club change markedly over the last couple of years. The Swiss-born Portuguese spent the first half of 2015-16 on loan at Rochdale, where he made his first eight senior appearances. While he only kept one clean sheet at Spotland, he left a great impression on many at the club.

Gunners star provides further hints as to why he's likely to leave this summer.                                                                                                      Alexis Sanchez rarely talks to the media unless it’s an interview with Arsenal’s in-house team or a PR event related to the Chilean national side, but over the past few weeks, the 28-year-old’s policy of speaking out publicly has changed dramatically.
Pundits have tried to read the enigmatic Sanchez, who has 23 goals and 11 assists in the Premier League this season, from his body language, his passion and commitment. But in recent weeks, such advanced techniques have not been necessary.                                                                                       Alexis has massive respect for Wenger but knows his time at Arsenal is up                             Arsene Wenger’s side were out of the Champions League and Premier League title race by mid-February and have never really got going, despite starting the season with a handful of positive results. Recent comments from Alexis provided a telling glimpse into what is going on in his mind right now, even though many will suspect that he is being told to speak about his future by a representative or agent. From the quote in which said he wants to play for a "winning club" to his more recent murmurings about his frustration with the mentality of this current Arsenal side, it’s clear that Alexis is keeping all of his options open going into this summer.

Floyd Mayweather says camp waiting to hear from Conor McGregor, Dana White.                                                                        Floyd Mayweather and McGregor continue to drag on, Mayweather says he's awaiting information from UFC president Dana White and McGregor.

"I'm not here to throw anybody under the bus, [and] I can't sit here and say that they are waiting on us," Mayweather said Wednesday in London. "I'm not saying that. And we're not waiting on them.
"I have a team for [negotiating], but as soon as their side [the UFC] communicates with our side, then the fight will happen."
Over the weekend, White said Brett Okamoto his plan was to lock in McGregor by this past Sunday and then move to firm up Mayweather.
"We're right there to get this deal done, we've just got to get the deal done," White told ESPN on Saturday. "I would like to get it done this Sunday and start negotiating with Team Mayweather, and if that deal can get done then we'll get it done, and if it can't, I need to move on."
There has been no indication from either McGregor or White that a deal for the fight has been finalized.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Image result for mcgregor mayweather                                                                                      Mayweather on Wednesday said he only has designs on McGregor.
"There's only one fight that makes business sense," Mayweather said. "I came out of retirement because I'm a businessman and I want to give the world what they want to see.
Spain have won the UEFA Under-17 Championship for the third time after beating England on penalties in Varazdin.                                                                                                           Spain have won the UEFA Under-17 Championship for the third time after beating England on penalties in Varazdin.
The teams could not be separated in normal time, with Spain twice coming from behind to level matters before eventually triumphing 4-1 in the shoot-out.                                                                                                                               Image result for spain win uefa u17 euros
Jose Mourinho insists he will not make mistakes in his second season at Manchester United now that he knows the club better from the inside.                                                                    United could still end Mourinho's first campaign at Old Trafford with two major trophies if they can defeat Ajax in the Europa League final next Wednesday, having already won the EFL Cup.
But they have struggled in the Premier League and will finish sixth regardless of their result in Sunday's home match against Crystal Palace – meaning the Europa League represents their last chance to reach next season's Champions League.
Mourinho stressed that the first season at any new club is always difficult, but is more optimistic about 2017-18 after what he has learned this term.
"I try to analyse the realities before I arrived in the club, but you only know the reality when you are inside," Mourinho said
"The first season is hard. I enjoy the second because in the second I know I'm not making mistakes.                                                            Mourinho: I won't make mistakes in second Man Utd season                                                                                                                                                                                                           "You think you know the players, but you don't. You only know them when you have them in good moments and bad moments. The one I really enjoy to do is the transition from the first to the second season."
LeBron James gave a lot of highlight reels last night.                                                                                               His performance has helped the Cavaliers win twelve straight playoff games and the team holds a 33-4 playoff record against Eastern Conference opponents (16-3 on the road).
During the regular season, a lot of sports journalists questioned whether LeBron was slowing down as he wasn’t considered one of the frontrunners for the 2016-17 MVP Award.
But LeBron has not shown signs of slowing down.
Rewind to the Finals last year, LeBron gave fans a classic performance when he helped the Cavaliers cut a 3-1 deficit to help Cleveland win their first NBA Championship over the Golden State Warriors.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Rewind to the Finals last year, LeBron gave fans a classic performance when he helped the Cavaliers cut a 3-1 deficit to help Cleveland win their first NBA Championship over the Golden State Warriors.
During this series, he had three games where he scored over 30 points and averaged double digits in rebounding. In the last three contests of the Finals, James tallied 109 points and scored 41 points in back to back games and while clocking 16 rebounds, seven assists, three blocks and three steals in game three and 11 assists, eight rebounds, four steals and three blocks in game four.
Wojciech Szczesny believes leaving Arsenal for Roma was the best thing that could have happened to him and revealed that life at the Emirates Stadium was becoming negative before his departure.                                                                       The goalkeeper has spent two years on loan at Roma and faces an uncertain future, with only one year left on his contract with the Gunners.
Szczesny feels he has never been a better player due to his spell in Serie A and is glad he left Arsenal, despite initially finding his departure tough to take after they brought in Petr Cech from Chelsea.I could have stayed in an environment that was going negatively for me. Instead, the opportunity that came gave me a fresh start. You get a new perspective. You get new coaches and influences. You learn new drills. You do new things.                                                                                                                                  Image result for szczesny                                                                     Now I am very happy that it happened, even if the first impression was that I might be out of Arsenal, which was very painful. Now I think it was probably the best thing that could have happened to me.
"The biggest thing I have taken away from these two years at Roma is the fact I grew as a goalkeeper. It is just raising your levels, your standards. I absorbed a bigger knowledge of football, the tactical side of the game. You don't see me with that rush of blood that I used to have as a younger keeper.

Monaco's eighth Ligue 1 title                    Leonardo Jardim believes Monaco's first Ligue 1 title since 2000 was even more special as they were not favourites to claim the crown.
Paris Saint-Germain had won four successive Ligue 1 trophies but the French champions were deposed by Jardim's men after a 2-0 victory over Saint-Etienne at Stade Louis II on Wednesday.
Kylian Mbappe's 15th Ligue 1 goal of the season put Monaco on track after 19 minutes and Valere Germain wrapped up the silverware by tapping in with the last kick of the game. Jardim said
"This is the most important trophy of my life as a coach. We have worked a lot for 11 months.
"But the best thing comes with this title. Monaco are champions, this is worth four titles for Paris."                                                                                                                   Monaco has been waiting 17 years for this title, It is exceptional. Good work always pays off.
"We were in Ligue 2 four years ago. I did not imagine that we could get there in such a short time.
Leicester City 1-6 Tottenham                                                  Tottenham now have more points this term than Leicester City. England international Kane moved to 26 in the top flight for this season – putting him two ahead of Romelu Lukaku in the Golden Boot standings – while Son took his tally to 21 goals in all competitions in the emphatic victory.
The hammering puts Spurs on 83 points for 2016-17, three more than Leicester managed when they were crowned champions last term.
Son and Kane combined to put Spurs ahead before the South Korea star made it 2-0 as half-time approached with a well-taken volley. Four goals from Harry Kane and two from Son Heung-min helped Tottenham to a 6-1 battering of Leicester City in their penultimate Premier League match of the season on Thursday.                                                                                                                                                                               Image result for tottenham kane                                                                                    Kane then struck twice in the closing stages to seal the dominant win for Mauricio Pochettino's swashbuckling side. Pochettino was visibly frustrated when Son blasted a golden chance over the bar after Dele Alli blocked the ball into his path, but the South Korea forward was decisive in helping Spurs take the lead after 25 minutes.
Son beat the offside trap to latch onto a simple long ball from Toby Alderweireld, moved into the penalty area and cut the ball back for Kane, who slotted home first time from 12 yards out.
