The Blues landed on Thursday night after their long and energy-sapping journey but were afforded a warm reception.New manager Maurizio Sarri was pictured disembarking the plane with a number of his first team squad in tow. A number of Chelsea fans had waited for the players to arrive and held out their hands to high-five each member of the travelling party as they made their way to a bus.
David Luiz looked upbeat as he signed a supporter's hand and Marcos Alonso posed for a selfie with another. Alvaro Morata, Alonso and Pedro were pictured walking off the flight in their club training gear and they will now have a few days to overcome jet-lag and acclimatise.
The official Chelsea Twitter account shared a video of Sarri waving to fans and smiling.
