The midfielder passed a medical on Thursday afternoon and the paperwork has now been completed with United confirming that Fellaini has left with a post on social media.The Belgium international is due to earn £235,000 per week and will hook up with his new team-mates later this month to join in their preparations for the new Chinese Super League campaign which gets underway in March. Fellaini had been in Belgium this week receiving treatment on a calf injury but flew out to China on deadline day to agree terms with Shandong.
The 31-year-old had been in high demand with the midfielder keen to begin a new chapter in his career after being frozen out by interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Fellaini, who last summer signed a new and improved deal until 2020, was a key figure at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho but featured just once under Solksjaer in United's seven Premier League games.
He leaves United having made 177 appearances in the five-and-a-half season he spent with the club and helped them to win four trophies - the Emirates FA Cup, FA Community Shield, League Cup and UEFA Europa League.
