Carlos Humberto Caszely, nickname
Ray del metro, he was born on the 5th
of july 1950 is a former Chilean footballer of Hungarian descent, he become the
first person to receive a red card, after his second yellow card against west
Germany in 1974, for bring down Berti Vogts. Chile lost 1-0 during the opening
1974 FIFA World Cup match against West Germany, Caszely was given a red card by
the match referees, Dogan Babacan. Carlos Caszely becames the first player to
be sent off in this manner. Red card and yellow card had already been
introduced in the past world cup (1970). In the 1982 world cup he missed a
penalty against Austria.
In june 1976 he played for the national team of
catalonia in a friendly match against
the soviet union. Out side football today he works as a host for several sports
related TV show on canal 13, a Chilean best TV Station.
