Tottenham striker Harry Kane was voted as R. Madrid fans' preferred choice to replace C Ronaldo who made a £100million transfer to juventus this summer.
The poll which was run by marca, asked 200,000 Madrid fans which striker they want to come to the Bernabeu with nine choices listed.
Kane came out on top with 26 percent of the vote, with Edinson Cavani and Inter Milan's Mauro Icardi both coming out next best with 14 percent. Ronaldo joined the Bernabeu in 2009 and went on to score a whopping 450 goals in 438 games for the club.
Real Madrid's pre-season matches and the UEFA Super Cup against Atletico Madrid will answer many questions and this could be when the club enters the market for a striker.
Meanwhile, Kane is coming off the back of a wonderful World Cup performance where he claimed the Golden Boot after netting six goals on England's run to the semi-finals of the tournament. In so doing, he became only the second Englishman to end as the top scorer in a World Cup after Gary Lineker scored the same number of goals in 1986.
As Tottenham move into their new stadium, Kane seems to have no intention of leaving his boyhood club after signing a contract until 2024.
