Liverpool and Derby have reached an agreement over the permanent transfer of Andre Wisdom, in a deal which could rise to £4.5 million.

Having signed for the Reds in January 2008 from Bradford City, the defender made 22 appearances across all competitions for the club, scoring once in the process. 

Wisdom has spent the last four seasons on loan, however, with temporary spells at Derby, West Bromwich Albion, Norwich and Red Bull Salzburg.  He won the Austrian Bundesliga and Cup double last term during what was a hugely successful period with Salzburg. 

Derby had seen an official approach of £1m rebuffed last week, before returning with an improved proposal that includes add-ons.
